About Our Chapter
Sigma Phi Epsilon at the University of Oregon strives to develop balanced leaders.
To do this we foster an academic atmosphere while developing athletic and social skills of our members through a number of organized events. Via the effective use of what we call Sound Mind and Sound Body programming, we promote the healthy and continuous development of our members.
Nationally, SigEp boasts over 14,000 undergraduate members, and 244,000 living alumni, making it the nation's largest fraternity - There are well over 2,000 University of Oregon SigEp alumni living all over the world.
SigEp maintains an average GPA over the 3.0 mark and have many who excel far beyond that. At the University of Oregon, we consistently are above the all men's average and always aim to exceed the Phi Beta Kappa level of 3.15 house GPA.
The pursuit of knowledge is an integral piece of our fraternity.
We are committed to the ongoing scholastic excellence of our members and reaffirmed our commitment to academics a few years ago by renovating an old dance floor into a brand new library.
In addition to academic pursuits, our SigEp chapter is very active in philanthropy and intramural sports. Each year we bring home several intramural championship titles in sports such as basketball, soccer, football and more. As a chapter, we also make an effort to attend a number of events which raise money to benefit local charities.
Sigma Phi Epsilon is consistantly one of the largest fraternities on campus.
Despite this SigEp seeks to continue to grow in numbers and foster the success of its members in the future. Feel free to knock on our Red Door anytime and see what we're all about.
SigEp is the premier fraternity on campus and offers the opportunity to make the most out of your college experience.
